The Challenge
Conflict, disease, and poverty leave tens of thousands of women without a spouse and children without parents in the DRC each year. These families face extreme vulnerability, social isolation, and economic hardship with no safety net.
Our Approach
We provide psychosocial counseling, safe housing, vocational training (sewing, agriculture, handicrafts), micro-finance seed grants, and family reintegration support for widows and orphaned children.
How It Works
Psychosocial Support
Trauma counseling and grief support groups led by trained local therapists.
Safe Shelter
Transitional housing for women and children escaping violence or homelessness.
Skills Training
3-month vocational programs: tailoring, soap-making, farming, and digital skills.
Micro-Finance
Start-up grants and savings groups to help graduates launch small businesses.
